For this project, I want my animation to follow a dreamy transition with an acid-trip feel to it. For the beginning of the video, I plan on filming my friends doing something we all enjoy, such as going to get iced coffee in the morning, traveling (which could be represented as driving a car or something similar), or doing something outdoors. I want the transition to feel like it is entering a dream with a euphoric feeling using a variety of bright/neon colors. In the animation part of the project, I want to have characters that represent my friends, but that are not human-like. I want to have some sort of animal or creature that does not exist in the real world. I feel like this will give me creative freedom to have them represented in the way that I want. I also want things to happen that could only be imagined, but allude to things that could actually happen. In order to transition from the animation back to reality, I want it to be similar to the first transition, but with its own twist that takes into account what happened in the middle of the video.
